  1. I amwho I am

  2. The Lord our God is ONE God • The Doctrine of the Trinity in the New Testament. The doctrine of the Trinity is clearly taught in the New Testament and evident from the following: • The baptism of Christ: Matt 3:16, 17. Here the Father speaks from heaven; the Son is being baptized in the Jordan; and the Spirit descends in the form of a dove. • In the baptismal formula: Matt. 28:19—"Baptizing them in the name (singular) of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." • The Apostolic Benediction: 2 Cor. 13:14—"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ....love of God.....communion of the Holy  Ghost." • Christ Himself teaches it in John 14:16—"I will pray the Father... He will give you another Comforter."

  3. The Lord our God is ONE God • A Father who is God: Rom 1:7 … Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. • A Son who is God: Heb 1:5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: "YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"? … Heb 1:8 But to the Son He says: "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM. • A Holy Spirit who is God: Act 5:3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? … You have not lied to men but to God."

  4. God OUR FATHER….IS LOVE • Love is trust. • He has your best interest at heart. That is why He work with us in all gentleness, kindness, patience, etc. everything Gal.5:22 says – this is the character of your God. • “Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy; is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily….. Love never fails - never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end...”   (I Cor.13:4-8 AMP)

  5. God our father ….is life • When God speaks, it gives us strength, nourishment and fruitfulness; it gives us life. • The words of God first of all brings life to our spirit-man. God is spirit and His words are spirit, and He speaks them to the spirit of man where He dwells through the Holy Spirit. It is when our spirit comes 'alive' that our whole being comes alive and life as we live it – changes completely in the way we view it, perceive it and live it. • “...I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”  (John 10:10  KJ)  “...The Words that I speak to you, are spirit, and they are life.”   (John 6:63 NKJV).

  6. God our father…a hiding place • He is our hiding place, shielding us from the fiery darts.  • Words from Him will carefully protect when uncovering a thorn.  There is only ONE PERSON that can hide us from Satan, and that is our Father in heaven through the wounds of His Son Jesus Christ. • Unless you have dealt with sin, and given that area/territory over to God's rulership, you are vulnerable to attack. • “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.”  (Psalm 91:1,2 NKJV).

  7. God our father…peace • There is no pushiness or driving anxiety in peace.  • Peace stills the storm.  • His Word to us will quiet our hearts when all is raging around us. • “..they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.  He maketh the storm a calm, so the waves thereof are still.  Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them into their desired haven.”  (Psalm 107:28-30 KJ) • He is the 'eye' of the storm. He brings a peace in you that gives rest to your soul. • These two: 'refuge' and 'peace' follow one another – as you embrace God as hiding place (through Christ), His peace come to rest upon you.

  8. God Our father….is whole • “I AM that I AM” is complete.  • When He speaks wholeness into our lives, we become well, whole, supplied and complete in Him.  • “I AM that I AM” (Exodus 3:14 KJ) “That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished (this means – completely loaded with everything needed) unto all good works.”  (2 Timothy 3:17 KJ) • Pain that is not transformed is transferred. • Touch the hem His garment – you will be made whole – • He is emanating with LIFE!!! Life and the 'wholeness' of God is like one 'breath' – the one resonates within the other.

  9. God our father…disciplines • OUR PERSPECTIVE: We don’t like it because we perhaps see Him as a terrible God who watches our every step in order to punish us. • HIS PERSPECTIVE: He loves us so much, He quickly shows us areas where the enemy can lay hold of us, so we may recognize it too, and Satan's attempts might be rendered powerless! • “For the Lord corrects and disciplines every one whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes... For {our earthly fathers} disciplined us for only a short period of time … but He disciplines us for our certain good, that we may become sharers in His own holiness.”  (Hebrews 12:6-10 AMP)

  10. God our father …provides • “And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering...”  (Genesis 22:8 KJ). • What is most important to us IS NOT what is most important to Him, yet He does not deny us these things when we ask it with a humble heart. • God is more interested in providing us with what is NEEDED – mercy/forgiveness/life, gifts to remain in Him.

  11. God our father…is truth • His Words will nourish us throughout our journey on earth.  • They will strengthen, sustain and satisfy us.  • “I am that bread of life.  Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness...  I am the living bread which came down from heaven...” (John 6:48 KJ) • God gave us Christ, and Christ gave us the sacrament of communion – the sign of Him (being the fullness of God) who became visible to us.

  12. God our father…banner • “You have given a banner to those that fear You, that it may be displayed because of the truth.”  (Psalm 60:4 NKJV) • Moses on mountain: Exo 17:14-16 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven." And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-LORD-Is-My-Banner; for he said, "Because the LORD has sworn: the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation."

  13. God our father…is just • He repays us all according to what we have done, ‘the book of your life’. • We will be judged for what I did – good for good, bad for bad. • But if I repent, make it right with God, those sins are blotted out by the blood of the Lamb and I will NOT BE REWARDED for them. • “...for all his ways are judgment: for a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.”  (Deuteronomy 32:4B,C KJ)

  14. God our father…glorifies his son • The Father glorifies His Name through glorifying His Son, Jesus.  • “The Spirit of truth...He shall glorify me...”  (John 16:13,14 KJ)  “Father glorify thy name.  Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.  (John 12:28 KJ) I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”  (John 14:6 KJ)

  15. God our father…righteous • The Lord speaks His righteousness to cover our sins for we have no righteousness of our own.  • “...and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.”  (Jeremiah 23:6B KJ)

  16. God our father…forgives • He speaks forgiveness for our sins. There is nothing He did not die for. Nothing that cannot be forgiven – if it is brought to Him. • “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin...” (Exodus 34:7 NKJV)

  17. God our father…comforts • He speaks ease and consolation to our pain. Tell story about Names of GOD - sitting in His presence after death of a loved one etc. • “As whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.”  (Isaiah 66:13 NKJV)

  18. God our father…omniscient • He knows all things – nothing is hidden from Him • God’s Words reveal His secrets, for He knows all things. • “Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”  (Psalm 147:5 KJ)

  19. God our father…is omnipresent • God is present everywhere. • His Words are present everywhere in life.  • “Where can I go from Your Spirit? or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold You are there.”  (Psalm 139:7,8 NKJV)

  20. God our father …is omnipotent • God is all powerful. • God’s Words are all powerful.  • “There is none more powerful than He.....and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might...”  (1 Chronicles 29:12A,B).

  21. EMBRACING THE LOVE OF THE FATHER

  22. God our father… We have to embrace the love of the Father in order to embrace the call to imitate Christ. We begin to embrace the complete meekness of Christ like he embraced meekness/love/tenderness of the Father, we become ready to be baptized with the baptism with which the Father baptized the Son.
