Steve Jobs knew there was a place in the market for a tablet. The hurdle was, finding the best time to launch one. • The iPad falls in between an iPhone and a laptop computer in size. • The iPad was actually conceptualized before the iPhone, but was released later. • Steve Jobs wanted to make available a product that had all of the capabilities of a handheld device, but with the screen size that would allow one to do more traditional computing. • The final product was not the first tablet on the market, but Jobs wanted it to be the best one. The iPad comes with a standard, 9.7 inch touch screen. It can be synced by connecting through a computer and iTunes, or by connecting over Wi-Fi.
