The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) claims that “water is at the heart of the climate change debate. It is a core part of both the causes and effects of climate change.“ President Barack Obama promised during the campaign to increase federal funding for water-treatment facilities. Further prospects for a greater federal investment in water infrastructure have risen with concerns about the nation’s flagging economy. Democrats have called for using water projects and other infrastructure work as an economic stimulus. The EPA expects investments in water and wastewater technology to exceed $10 billion. WEFTEC - the largest water quality event in the USA WEFTEC is the biggest and most important trade fair in the field of water and wastewater technologies.
