  1. What We Are Learning… Math: This week we will be learning about multiplication and division. The focus is on division. Please have your child practice the addition and subtraction facts. Science: This week we will be learning about sound energy. The focus will be on vibrations and how sound travels. Social Studies: This week we will be learning about inventions, sound and medicine over time. Reading and Writing: This week we will be reading Jump. We will be working on fact and opinion, vowel dipthongsoi, oy, suffixes, and comprehension. Homework: Read 30 minutes nightly. Study spelling and vocabulary words. Please refer to your child’s agenda for all other assignments and information. • Things to Remember • Students arriving later than 7:30 will be counted tardy. • Breakfast is served 6:30- 7:10. • All visitors must go through the office and get a visitor's badge. Don't forget to bring a picture ID. • ALL students are required in standardized dress code. Dress code violations will be cited starting this week. Third Grade News November 1-5 Week 11 Important Dates Nov. 1 – Extended Day tutoring begins. Nov. 3 – Early Release and Parent Conferences. Nov. 11 – School holiday Nov. 22-26 Thanksgiving holiday *More dates will be added here as information becomes available from PTO. Third Grade Conferences Our Conference Period is: 10:30 -11:15(on most days) *Elolf Phone 661-1130 to set up an appointment with your child’s teacher. Mrs. Wolfshohl’s Notes: Please make sure we are signing agenda’s each evening. Also, please note that we have added vocabulary to our spelling list. Students will need to know how to spell both.
