  2. STEM Careers… Will grow faster than the average for all jobs *STEM related careers will enjoy an 11.4% increase in positions from 2004-2014. *Non-STEM related careers will have a 4.5% increase in positions from 2004-2014.

  3. STEM Careers *STEM skills are required by 8 percent of all jobs in the region *The Finger Lakes Region currently employs 52,000 workers (114 job titles) in the STEM field

  4. STEM Careers STEM Careers Pay More… STEM Occupations:        $57,084 All Occupations                $38,280 • Stem occupations offer an earnings potential on average 60% more than non-STEM careers • Almost 70% (68%) of workers employed in STEM occupations earn more than $50,000 per year
