A small sip-tie is positioned in the center of the drive axle and locked into place
The sip-tie is trimmed and cut so that the excess tail of the zip-tie can be closed to a locking hub.
Supper glue the sip-tie to the axle to make sure the sip-tie axle hook does not slip when under tension.
Catch the zip-tie axle hook with the string loop and wind the string as normal.
Wrap a small piece of picture frame wire two times around the axle as pictured.
Twist the ends of the wire together until the wire is tight again around the axle.
Cut the excess wire so that the hook is just a small hub. The hook should be no longer than 1/8th of a inch. Catch the wire hook with the string look and wind the string as normal
Place some super glue on the wire to bond the wire to the axle.
The string is wound around the drive axle by turning the wheels in the direction opposite to the motion of the vehicle’s travel.
Once the string is fully wound around the drive axle the mousetrap is placed on the floor and released. Once released, the mousetrap will pull the string from the drive axle causing the wheels to rotate propelling the vehicle.
