Herfamily • Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, nicknamed Kate, was born on 9 January, 1982 in Reading in the south of England. • She grew up in Berkshire with her parents Michael and Carole Middleton. • She is the elder daughter of three children; she has a sister, Philippa and a brother, James. • Of common origin, her parents started a company which sells party supplies and decorations & it made them millionaires.

  4. Herstudies • Catherine went to Marlborough College where she studied chemistry, the biology and the arts. She developed a passion for sport there, she practised tennis, hockey, netball and athletics. She got noticed for her performances in the high jump. • After leaving college, she studied at the British Institute of Florence and she also participated in Raleigh's international program, a project of voluntary service abroad. • Then she enrolled in Saint Andrews prestigious university in Scotland. • She an undergraduate MA in the History of Art and worked as photographer for the company of her parents.

Hermarriage • In 2001 : it was at University that she met Prince William. • In 2007 : the couple broke up briefly before getting back together a few months later. • In 2008 : she launcheed“First Birthdays”, a mark of Parts Pieces for babies. • November 16, 2010 : her engagement to Prince William was officially announced. • April 29, 2011 : she became a member of the British royal family through her marriage with Prince William, the elder son of Prince Charles and the Princess of Galles, Lady Diana. On this occasion, Queen Elisabeth II granted Prince William the title of Duke of Cambridge, Catherine became therefore the Duchess of Cambridge and the wife of the heir to the throne.

  6. Herinvestments • Catherine chose to bring her support to four associations which take care in particular of drug and addiction problems, young people in difficulties or using art as therapy for children having behavior disorders. She is also a volunteer in a boyscouts' association.

  7. Conclusion • In conclusion, Catherine Middleton especially became famous thanks to her marriage with Prince William.
