  1. Best Practices for Managing Online Sources using MLA Style Academic papers are written in various styles as per the requirements set by the universities and academic institutions. Generally, there are certain conventions specific to different regions and each institution prefers to follow a specific convention. Some of the common style conventions for the academic papers include: Harvard Style APA (American Psychological Association) Style MLA (Modern Language Association) Style IEEE Style Others Each of the paper style mentioned above is generally a regional variant and differ in terms of paper formatting, fonts, font size, color of text, referencing, in-text citations and various others. When a paper is issued and the student / researcher is asked to follow a specific format, that particular format must be followed throughout the work as mixture of different formats is not acceptable in an academic paper. Hence, the student or the researcher who is working on a report must be careful about the style he is following and what style has been recommended by his university and / or supervisor.

  2. Modern Language Association (MLA) formatting style is one of the common paper styles that has originated from United States of America (USA). The organisation MLA has developed its own paper formatting and referencing style that is considerably different from most of the common styles like Harvard and APA. The main point of difference in this MLA citation machine style from the rest is the amount of effort required to format the paper and the citations in the same. This is because in MLA style, all the citations including bibliography entry and the in-text citations need to be done manually unlike most other referencing styles. In other referencing styles, various online tools are available like citethisforme and Google Scholar from where, the references can be generated, copied and pasted in the bibliography section of the paper. However, MLA style requires each and every bibliography entry to be auto-generated in MS Word that is in turn done by manually entering each detail of the reference like author(s)’s names, date of publication, name of the book / journal and others. However, this is more difficult for online sources as they do not have author names or many other details that are generally available for books and journals. Some of the best practices for managing online sources in MLA style are as follows. I.Find the name of the author who published the article online. II.In case of no author, select name of the website that will be cited. III.Find other details like date of publishing of the online article. IV.Copy the URL of the online article. V.Follow MS Word based standard citation procedure for MLA style. https://jamessmith02691.wixsite.com/myassignmenthelp/post/best- practices-for-managing-online-sources-using-mla-style
