Opening Prayer Before lesson • Dear Father, when I discover how you describe me by nature--dead in sin, blind to your ways, and your enemy--I see the miracle it took to make me your child. My faith in your Son is the most important thing I own, and it's all your gift to me. Help me to learn today how your Holy Spirit can make my faith stronger and how it changes everything about my life. You set me apart for yourself. At times I forget that and I try to blend in with others who don't know what you've done, who you are or maybe just don't care. I'm sorry for that. Show me today how foolish and dangerous that is. I never want you to lose your hold on me. Help me to put into practice what I learn today from your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen.
