Abstract • This submission provides updated results for power save calibration simulations. • Many companies clarified parameters for power save simulation calibration • The PHY rate of each frame • Use ACK frame only(no B-ACK) • The details of operation in PSM test • All test cases and parameters are defined in 11-14-0980r10 Simulation Scenarios. Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
PSM Test • The MSDU 1500 bytes(PPDU length=1940us) DL traffic was transmitted every 200ms • We update the following operation in our calibration • When STA on PSM receives only the Data frame(no DTIM Beacon frame), STA may reset the PSM Timer. • The STA stays in Awake state during the PSM Timeout period regardless of the value of the TIM field in DTIM beacon • Use QoS Null frame without QoS Control field in MAC header Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
Issues of Test 5 in current SSD(1/2) • Test 5 in Current SSD is imprecise for power save calibration. • The interval between the first DL Data arrival Time and the first DTIM Beacon Time affects the time spent in sleep state in PSM Test • Ex. DTIM=[3], Timeout=[100] ms Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
Issues of Test 5 in current SSD(2/2) • For example, • The first DTIM Beacon is sent at 100ms • The first DL Data arrives at 200us, 95ms • Therefore, we need to clarify the interval between the first DL Data arrival time and the first DTIM Beacon transmission time. Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics
Simulation results for PSM Test-Time • In our calibration, the following event sequence is assumed: • The first DTIM Beacon is sent at 100ms • The first DL DATA arrives at 200us Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
Simulation results for PSM Test- Energy Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
Simulation results for PSM Test-EER • DTIM=[3], PSM Timeout=[100]ms Energy Efficiency Ratio Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics
PSP Test • The MSDU 1500 bytes DL traffic was transmitted every 200ms • PPDU length=1940us Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
Simulation results for PSP Test-Time/Energy • STA in PSP sleeps longer than PSM Test. • Time • Energy Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
Simulation results for PSP Test-EER • DTIM=[3] • The PSP mechanism is more Energy efficient than the PSM. Energy Efficiency Ratio cf. EER of PSM =0.3473 Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
UAPSD Test • The MSDU 120 bytes DL/UL traffic was transmitted every 40ms • PPDU length=244us Hyeyoung Choi, LG Electronics
Simulation results for U-APSD Test-Time/Energy • Time • Energy Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics
Simulation results for UAPSD Test-EER Energy Efficiency Ratio Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics
Conclusion • In this submission, we provide simulation results for power save calibration. • Some text changes in simulation scenario are needed. • In PSM Test of current SSD, insert text as: • In Following event sequence is assumed: • The first DL DATA arrives at 200us • The first DTIM Beacon is sent at 100ms Hyeyoung Choi,, LG Electronics
