Kathleen Kelly, owner of a little and famous bookstore for children's books around the corner. Suddenly, her business gets endangered by the opening of Fox Books discount store just "around the corner". Meanwhile they have been corresponding over the internet without knowing each other. They can't stand each other in person but over the internet they are very attracted.But Joe Fox's life suddenly gets out of control when he learns that his anonymous mail-pal is nobody but Kathleen Kelly. He starts to like her but she still hates him. He has to fix it. plot SUMMARY OF PLOT
Scene 1 I like to start my notes to you as if we’re already in the middle of a conversation . I pretend that we’re the oldest and dearest friends – as opposed to what we actually are,people who don’t know each other names and met in a Chat Room where we both claimed we’d never been before. What will he say today , I wonder , I turn on my computer , I wait impatiently as it boots up , I go on line , and my breath catches in my chest until I hear three little words : You’ve got mail . I hear nothing , not even a sound on the streets of New York , just the beat of my heart , I have mail, from you.

The shop of the corner: The fox chain store: bookstores 1. A newly-opened and modern chain store with discount of the products and a coffee shop. 2.The owner is only in charge of running the business and making money. It's totally different for the owner of the shop of the corner. 3. The salesclerk doesn't understand exactly what books they have. 1. A children's book store, inherited from the owner's mother, has been operated for 40 years. It's also a landmark in New York city. 2. The owner reads all the books in the store and knows all the customers who went to her shop before. 3. The books in the shop are not cheap, but the staff of shop provide full service and love for the customers. The shop of the corner:
Scene 3 I’ve been thinking about you. Last night I went to meet you and you weren’t there . I wish I knew why , I felt so foolish . And as I waited , someone else showed up , a man who has made my professional life a misery , and an amazing thing happened . I was able , for the first time in my life , to say the exact thing I wanted to say at the exact moment I wanted to sat it , I was cruel ,and I’m never cruel . Anyway , I so wanted to talk to you . You don’t seem like the kind of person that would do something like that . The odd thing about this form of communication is that you’re more likely to talk about nothing than something. But I just want to say , that all this nothing has meant more to me than so many something . So thanks .
