  2. Current „Czech“ status Silver Axe I, II • European Union Intellectual Property Office 2017 • The Czech Republic has the 3rd highest incidence of illegal PPPs in the EU (average 13,8 %) • Almost 18% of PPPs used in Czech are illegal Silver Axe III Guess what …. CR was not there again

There are several reasons … • The single market has many advantages but also some disadvantages • Once illegal PPPs are on the market it is very difficult to stop them • CR has no sea ports or bothers with non-EU countries BUT its proven that the illegal goods is on the market… HOW to cut the head of the dragon and not just the tail ???

What can we do – pesticides need passports= batch number, orig. date of production • Participation at international operations against counterfeit pesticides under EUROPOLis a MUST • Create an effective tool: • Finding where our illegal PPPs are coming from? • It helps control authorities to detect them quickly and effectively. The clear traceability of products ... why not at EU level as for tobacco and pharmaceuticals??? • The initiative, as recommended by the worldwide org.
