Aggregated Results of Bureau Homework Strategic Plan Alignment • Percentage of Strategic Plan aligned by DOI work activities: • 129 performance measures costed through DOI work activities to the Strategic Plan (includes alignment to EOG and IOG) • 265 total performance measures in the DOI Strategic Planning Hierarchy (includes alignment to EOG and IOG) • 49% DOI performance measures are costed through DOI work activities to the DOI Strategic Plan
Aggregated Results of Bureau Homework Strategic Plan Alignment • Percentage of DOI work activities aligned to DOI Strategic Plan: • 296 DOI work activities aligned to the Strategic Plan (includes alignment to EOG and IOG) • 321 total DOI ABC work activities • 92% of DOI work activities aligned to DOI Strategic Plan • Note – see report for further details on the 8% (25) ABC Work Activities with no alignment to the Strategic Plan.
Issues • Bureau not able to provide mapping to DOI performance measure, end outcome goal or intermediate outcome goal • Bureau mapping exclusively to DOI end or intermediate outcome goal instead of to a performance measures .
Issues • DOI ABC activities with multiple alignment to DOI Strategic Plan (See slides 15 through 19) • 64% of DOI ABC Activities are aligned to multiple elements (EOG, IOG, EOGM, IOGM) (204 Multiple Mappings/321 total ABC Activities)

Notes on Bureau Data Provided through the Homework • BIA homework has not been approved by BIA management • NPS, BLM, OSM, USGS, BOR, FWS data is complete with no required corrections • MMS, USGS and OSM might need some minor adjustment of their work activity crosswalk to DOI work activities

Plan of Action - Alignment • Assess impact of new/revised measures in draft Strategic Plan update on • alignment model; identify adjustments to alignment model that the draft • Strategic Plan update would precipitate if adopted as currently presented • Consolidate alignment model with performance measure costing methodology • Coordinate model and costing methodology with PPP, POB, bureaus • Incorporate model and costing methodology into budget guidance • Present model and costing methodology to budget, performance, finance, and • ABC communities
