Special Interest Group of ADS Currently 60+ Members - UK industry’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Defence, Security & Resilience SIG • Stakeholders and Interfaces: • UK central government /MoD/ UK Emergency Services • UK Critical National Infrastructure operators • International government/emergency responders and CNI operators • Industry – potential CBRN members • Academia (S&T development) www.cbrn-uk.com

What we do? • Background • Influences and impacts UK CBRN policy • Gateway to export opportunities from the UK CBRN marketplace (e.g. industrial and academic) • Support technology development to deliver CBRN solutions to protect CNI (e.g. H2020 Encircle Program) • Hosts members of Government and other market stakeholders to speak on CBRN matters • Access to a broad range of marketing activities for individual companies to raise their brand profile • Provides a forum in which members and observers can discuss, in confidence, CBRN opportunities or issues of mutual interest. • Support to inward and outward trade-missions • Facilitate partnering and collaboration

CBRN-UK – Specialist Capability • The capabilities offered by CBRN-UK members either collectively, or as systems integrators, prime or sub-contractors, specialists or as subject matter experts include: • Detection of CBRN substances – aimed at establishing the release or presence of a CBRN hazard • Identification of CBRN substances - integrated information management process and services that provide exploitable CBRN information; • Monitoring of CBRN substances in the environment - hazard management and decontamination technologies and measures designed to limit vulnerability to CBRN hazards and to avoid, contain, control exposure to and where possible neutralize them; • Personal Protective Equipment - individual personal and collective physical protection equipment designed to provide protection against direct contact with, and contamination by CBRN substances • Medical counter measures – to diminish the susceptibility of personnel to the lethal and damaging effects of CBRN hazards and to treat any injuries arising from exposure to such hazards • Training and simulation solutions - to prepare individuals and organisations to respond to a CBRN event • Consultancy - Expert CBRN advice (e.g. CONOPS/ EP Development)
