Retelling By The Scarf Man, I had a bad day today. I got swept off of Amanda, and got nearly strangled by Abel! I was flung off of Amanda by the hurricane, and it seemed to be laughing at me while I was in the air, being tossed and turned. I next thing I knew, I was in Abel’s pocket and he was hanging on a nail that was attached to a waterfall. By the time I could think, I was on Abel’s neck and my ends were tied. It was winter, and he was bumping into the walls and gripping the wall as hard as he can. An owl came out after some of the snow melted, and we were picked up and Abel stabbed him. It shrieked, and dropped us. Abel built a spear, and went out hunting with the spear. He found the owl, and started yelling at it and was poking it with the spear.
Retelling By The Storm Boy, I had an amazing day, I got to swing a mouse around, and nearly got a new scarf for my wife, The Winter. I know I was being mean to the mouse, but I never get to do something as fun as that. I caused a flood, and the mouse flew into the tree, and started laughing after he woke up for the second time. He said “Ha-ha! Boy, Amanda will like to hear this story, a tree I had to climb down from but never climbed up!” He got down and started to look around, and before I knew it, he was up the tree again!
Retelling By Cherry Birch Today I made a new friend! He is small, gray, cant stop talking about his “wife” Amanda, and his name is Abel! I’ve been thinking, if he is on this island, how could he have a wife? Anyways, he got here when the storm had flooded almost every part of me. I was buried to the tip of my trunk. He cam in with the waterfall right beside me on my little island, and that waterfall wasn’t helping the water die down at all. Abel came down the waterfall, hung on a nail, slept, the nail slipped, got stuck on some sort of board, and drifted onto me and got stuck there. The next day, he climbed down and started laughing, He said, “Ha-ha! Amanda will like to hear this story! A tree I had to climb down, and never climbed up!” He started to look around for food and waited until nightfall, and finally came back up in me and fell asleep.
