  2. .:: Our Mission ::. • To promote chapter members to report trail miles ridden for the purpose of informing the state.

  3. The main purposes of informing the state of the cumulative miles ridden at each park is to: • 1. Demonstrate to the state that the equestrian trails are being utilized so the state will continue to maintain and keep the trails open; • 2. To possibly influence the state to spend available funds on the expansion and enhancements of the bridle trails.

  4. Volunteer Posts for THE Trail Miles Awards Program WagonMaster TrailBoss (about 10 volunteers will be needed) TeamMembers

  5. WagonMaster Role of the Wagon Master: Yearly – compile and report our chapter’s cumulative trail miles ridden to the state; recognize and congratulate the top youth, male and female riders of the chapter. Quarterly – compile information provided by Trail Bosses to determine the winning team. End-of-Year award – will be given to the team that had the most reporting members total for the year. (It’s not the individual miles but rather the members’ participation is what counts!!). ******** What determines the winning team each quarter? The team that has the highest number of reporting team members for that quarter wins! In the event of a tie, the tying teams names will be put in a hat and a name will be drawn to determine the winner for that quarter.

  6. Trail Boss Role of a Trail Boss: Compile and document team members’ trail miles. Report to the Wagon Master the number of team members that turned in trail miles for that quarter. Keep in contact with team members to encourage them to turn in trail miles for a team victory!! Yearly – turn in your team members trail miles information to the Wagon Master. *** A form will be provided to the Trail Bosses to be filled out for each team member quarterly (January, April, July and September) and then turned into the Wagon Master at the end of the year ***

  7. TeamMember Role of a team member: Keep track of your trail miles. Turn in your trail miles to your Trail Boss as often as you like but at least quarterly.

  8. Reward The team with the highest number of reporting members for that quarter shall be awarded the “Flag of Victory” and most importantly “First-in-line” privileges for all the potlucks/banquets held in the next quarter.
