  2. CASC Elected Officers • Gail Gutowski, President, PHS • Matt Swanson, First Vice President, HHS • Megan Sears, Second Vice President, MCMS • Faith Holland, Treasurer, HHS • Emily Burdin, Secretary, PHS • Scott Goldstein, Advisor

  3. What We Do • CASC Officers meet monthly to plan activities and General Assemblies • General Assemblies are held three times a year at the county’s High Schools • CASC is an active member of the Maryland Association of Student Councils • CASC works with SGAs to help them achieve their goals • We are constantly looking for ways to improve our method of reaching students • Delegates are role models of Student Leadership to the rest of the Student body

This Year’s Goals • Promote Student Leadership • Increase involvement from all the County’s Secondary Schools, especially middle schools • Provide at least 7 opportunities for community service • Support our Student Member on the Board • Promote awareness of CASC to the county’s student body and our community • Make activities more appealing to the student population as a whole • Introduce new students into the SGA organization • Promote Feeder-school relationships to build stronger SGAs from middle schools up

  5. What’s Been Happening • 4 Executive Board Meetings (June, August, September, October) • Revision of CASC Constitution and CASC Platform • Planning for First General Assembly • Discussions of Officer Goals for Year • Brainstorming for Activities

  6. First General Assembly, November 8 • General Assemblies participate in Community Service Opportunities at each meeting and engage in Leadership-Building Workshops. They also participate in the consideration of legislation and guest speakers. Each SGA sends delegates, both voting and non-voting to represent their schools. • Theme: • Going for the Gold: Bronze • Community Service Project: • Coin drive for Hurricane Relief • Workshops will include: • Professionalism and Respect • Perseverance and Overcoming Diversity • Community Service
