  3. Impact / Outcome expected by 2020

  4. Current Status HIV-AIDS by end of 2017 • HIV-AIDS still a “real threat” with less than 50% health facilities can do Test & Treat hence the 90-90-90 target MAY NOT be met by 2030. • Program “outreach” must be improved because positivity rate is too small for new cases, and among pregnant women and TB patient. • Tested 2,561,698 HIV suspects (76% of all outreach); found 48,300 new HIV+ (1,8% positivity rate), making a cumulative 275,987 HIV+ by end of 2017 or 43,9% of estimated HIV+ 628.492; and 91,369 are on ART (33%) • Tested 1,357,255 pregnant women; found 3873 HIV+ (0.28% positivity rate) or 21% out of 17,921 estimated pregnancy with HIV. • Tested 132,049 TB patients and found 6218 (4,7%) HIV positive. • ARV fully provided by GoI and Logistics system is good, with strong routine CSO co-monitoring and NO stock-out reports in 2017

  5. Current Status Tuberculosis by end 2017 • Without very strong extra efforts and innovative approaches, TB elimination target will NOT be met by 2030. • TB is a “real big threat” with 680,000 new regular cases/year, and high missing cases and only 40% of MDR notified • TB is a “real big threat” with 680,000 new regular cases/year, and high missing cases and only 40% of MDR notified • Program only found 460,000 TB+ (44%)  Very High Missing CasesOf those found, 97% are still on treatment and 92% successfully treated. • 3,000 Multi-Drug Resistent notified (only 50%) of estimated 6,000 MDR cases, and only 57% treatment compliant. • MDR TB drugs still provided by Global Fund

  6. Current Status Malaria by end 2017 • Malaria is well on the way to elimination • 266 of 516 districts (51%) already in Eliminated Status; 216 districts (41.8%) in process toward Elimination; and only 34 districts (6.5%) still high endemic, mostly in Eastern Indonesia • 97% of all cases already confirmed with Lab test (RDT and Microscopy) • 96% of all Malaria cases are treated with ACT. • GoI co-funding already achieved 75%

  7. Summary of Indonesia Situation & Conclusions Situation : • TB is still a very significant threat for Indonesia and the world • HIV-AIDS is still a significant threat for Indonesia • TB and HIV programs quite strong in health service but definitely needs much improvement in Outreach  CSO roles • Malaria is well on the way to elimination Conclusions : • Global Fund support still needed for TB and HIV after 2020. GF is needed to improve “Outreach” for both TB and HIV, especially to strengthen CSOs who do outreach and which has been the major role of Global Funds support in Indonesia. • Malaria program is ready for transition from GF support after 2020.
