Boston Tea Party • Parliament passed the Tea Act • Lowered taxes on Br. East India Company tea
Boston Tea Party • Tea Act bypassed colonial merchants • Colonist enraged- losing money
Boston Tea Party • Tea brought to Boston • Boston Sons of Liberty boarded ships and dumped it in the water
Coercive Acts • Passed to punish MA.- closed Boston ports
Quebec Act • Gave most land west of Appalachians to Quebec • If colonist moved there, they could not vote
