Practical Experience: Students must complete 36 months of full-time, approved work experience before receiving a CGA designation. (from PACE brochure) Coursework: 19 courses (exemptions available for some courses) plus two comprehensive cases. (from 2012 CGA course calendar) PACE includes 16 hours of professional qualification exams. Requirements to become a Certified Management Accountants (CMA): Education: University degree in any discipline before you start the program. Must also obtain 16 undergraduate prerequisite courses and pass the 4-hour entrance exam . (Mature student exception to degree requirement for those holding a NBCC diploma with high standing and 5 years managerial experience). Practical Experience: Candidates enrolled in the Strategic Leadership Program or MBA/CMA Program are required to obtain a minimum of 24 months of practical experience, of which 6 months must be at a managerial level. Coursework: 6 Professional Modules with on-line and face-to-face components as well as a final case study and Board presentation.
