On dragon boats in joyful June, They bang the drums for wet Wat Yuen.
Then as the warmer days float by, We start to melt in hot July. float: drift slowly melt: be heated until turning to liquid
And seek the shade in many ways, As August brings the hotter days. shade: shadow
September sees the lanterns’ light, As high above, the moon shines bright.
October comes and Halloween, When ghosts and goblins may be seen.
November comes. The year is old. The nights are long and we get cold.
Then in December, days of cheer Bring to an end another year.
