I would give this site 4 out of 5 stars. Overall this was a great place to intern at. I was able to use a lot of what I had learned SPMT as well as things from my business classes . The only draw back was that it started off real slow since the season had not started.
WORDS OF WISDOM YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU MIGHT MEET SO ALWAYS BE PREPARED NO DAY IS EXACTLY THE SAME, THE ONLY THING THAT WILL HAPPEN EVERYDAY IS THAT YOU WILL DEAL WITH ATLEAST ONE UPSET PERSON
Internship Objectives Acquire advance knowledge of tickets.com ticketing system used in Rangers operations (PVE). Assist season ticket holders over phone with any and all request they may have. Assist box office coordinator by performing managerial duties including but not limited to; helping walk-up customers, pulling tickets, handling cash, managing employees, creating a comfortable and safe work environment for employees and fans. Volunteer for special projects such as running/checking reports, Junior Rangers data entry, and voucher reconciliation. Assist in training of new phone room and box office employees and new interns who may start later in the season.
Daily Activities • Answering phones • Supervise box office • Exchange season tickets • Handicap seating • Season ticket holder lounge
Project Summary • The project that I am leading is the 2010 Season Ticket Holder Picnic. This event will be for Texas Rangers season ticket holders having full season, half season, and 28-game plan packages, along with long-term suite ticket holders. Each ticket holder is allowed to bring one guest to the Picnic and will receive one complimentary Rangers team poster upon entry. The event will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 10, 2010 and will last until 5:45pm.
