Practical Practice…Role Play • Scenario 1: • You have just assigned the class to complete a worksheet individually, yet there is a group of 3 students in the back who are a) not even listening to you, b) do not have their worksheet out, and c) are not prepared with a pen or pencil • What would you do???
Practical Practice…Role Play • Scenario 2 • Your students are taking a vocabulary test. You have one student who refuses to even try. He turns the test over and puts his head down on the desk. You kindly ask him to try to take the test, and he explodes in anger. He begins yelling at you about how “You can’t make me” and “This is stupid anyway” and distracts the class by crumpling up the test paper and throwing it across the room. • What would you do????
