Context • The goal of this document is to enhance the corporate culture of the office of the First Lady by realising the importance of shaping up workforce skills. • Communications was identified as a pillar professional development area for the staff of the OFL . • Staff members were surveyed for self assessment professional development needs • The communications development topics were categorised in 3 main areas: • Strategic Communications • Communications Skills • Communications Mediums • Training approach was set to be delivered by external parties with internal support
Overview • Trigger communications strategic thinking • Enhance both internal and external communications skills for both the team and individuals at the OFL • Improve thoughts articulations • Generate awareness on communications tools & tactics What are we trying to achieve? How are we trying to achieve it? • Professional communications training sessions • In-house knowledge awareness of communications methods, channels and tools • Share knowledge and practices within the office to enhance team work and better understanding of the First Lady’s communications messages • Better understanding of what we do and how to communicate with the internal and external environment Stronger cross group collaboration • Knowledge transparency that leads to objective achievements What is the impact?
Self Assessment A qualitative analysis was conducted at both overall communications practices and individual knowledge of staff and the following topics were identified ass areas for improvement:
