Project Overview • Why solar? • Why tracking? • Demonstration for Dr. Dillon’s class
Milestones Completed Minor: • All parts received Jan 17 • Frame received Feb 14 (Early, Jan 17) • Device constructed Feb 21 (Early, Jan 31) Major: • Arduino microcontroller functional Jan 24 • Breadboard functional Feb 7 • February Program Review Feb 14
Additional Accomplishments • Motors can move clockwise and counter clockwise • Arduino can make decisions based on photoresistors • LCD screen displays voltage measurements
The Near Future Minor Milestones: • Final Report v0.9 Mar 21 • Final Report v0.95 Mar 28 Major Milestones: • Complete testing and debugging Mar 7
Evidence of Construction • Digital systems component • Mechanical component • Demo
Issues/Concerns • Power source for Arduino and motors • Have separate sources to reduce wire tangling or overloading • Which photoresistor design • Test both configurations and select the most accurate • Pin count • Additional IC to expand I/O
