PRESENTATION OF THE FAIB The FAIB is the Federation of European & International associations (INPAs) established in Belgium in 1949.Objectives: • To take all possible initiatives to encourage European and International Associations to be established and remain in Belgium • To study, further and defend the interests of its members vis-à-vis third parties, notably public authorities • To obtain official legal recognition of associations and associative movement by Belgian, European and international authorities, … Membership: • 275 full members: INPAs - operating from Belgium - growing • 25 associated members: experts (tax, employment, accounting…) • 5 sponsors: offer business services Fédération des Associations Européennes et Internationales établies en Belgique

CONCLUSIONS Fédération des Associations Européennes et Internationalesétablies en Belgique • With the EU institutions based here, Brussels has an enormous “natural” advantage for attracting INPAs • The INPA sector in Brussels is growing year by year and is having an increasing impact on the economy of the region • Many points make the Brussels region an attractive location for INPAS, their staff and members, but there are areas where improvement is needed… • FAIB is happy to continue acting as the interface with the regional and national authorities 4
