  3. Description Erik Holland is an expert artist who focuses on old buildings, landscape, and political cartoons

  4. Artwork I’m a fan of Erik’s landscapes more than anything else. I like this piece of art in particular because I like to pain water, which is much harder than you’d think.

  5. More artwork Erik’s favorite things to paint are old buildings. The purple of the street catches my eye the most in the picture

  6. Political cartoons Though me and Erik seem to have different political views, I still think that his cartoons are very well put together.

  7. Conclusion • Why I chose Erik Holland: I chose him both because he was my first art teacher and also because I like to do the same style of art. • What I learned from my research: I learned that Erik is very well known even outside the state. • What I liked: It was pretty funny when it turned out I knew more about him than he did afterwards.

  8. Upcoming art project My idea for the upcoming art project is to either find or take a picture of a lake and try and copy it. I’m doing this both because water is my favorite thing to paint and it is similar to Erik’s style of art.
