4. Academic advisor • Academic matters (mainly) • For one or two years • Responsible for appraisal process • Will talk you through your formative results • You must meet at least three times

7. Academic advisors • You will be contacted by your academic advisor within the next few weeks. • Seeing them is not voluntary or optional, but an absolute requirement for the programme.

8. Personal support • It may well be that the medical student support team will be able to help you directly. • But they will also be able to refer you on to other support systems.

9. Other support systems • In the School of Medicine we have the psychology advisory service – this is a confidential service • You may also use the University support services
