  2. Present Simple • We use the Present Simple for things which: • are always true, or are true for a long time. • He goes to work by bus. • are a habit. (They are true sometimes, always, usually etc…….) • I usually have dinner at 6 o’clock. • She sometimes drinks coffee.

  3. Present Continuous • We use the Present Continuous for things which: • are happening NOW. • It’s raining today. • or in the near future. • I’m going home at 9o’clock.

  4. Present Continuous Present Simple • ‘to work’ • He usually ______ in London. • This week he’ ________ at home. works s working

  5. Present Continuous/Present Simple • I usually wear trousers to work. • Today ……………..a dress. I’m wearing

  6. Present Simple or Present Continuous? • ‘to rain’ • It often ______ in winter. • ___________ today. rains It’s raining
