4. 4 Principles in PDAT Development The process should be about collaboration, improvement and “being a better partner”.
The effort should involve AASHTO as key partner.
The emphasis should be on program delivery as a process and not focus on a single organizational entity.
PDAT should compliment Risk Management
5. 5 PDAT GOALS Discussion tool for FHWA and State collaboration
Identifies gaps and areas for improvement
Identifies federal and state “value-added” practices to share with others
Supports FHWA in managing stewardship responsibility
Helps with federal and state performance planning
