The Christian’s Attitude Toward This World Consists In Recognizing That: • We are in the world, but not of the world - Jn 17:14-16; 1 Cor. 5:10; 15:33 • We are not to love this present world - 1 Jn 2:15-17; 2 Tim. 4:10 • Friendship with the world is enmity with God - Jas 4:4; Tit 2:12 • We are not to be conformed to this world - Rom 12:1-2
The Christian’s Attitude Toward This World Consists In Recognizing That: • One’s soul is more precious than the whole world - Mk 8:36-37 • Cares of this world can choke the word and cause the child of God to become unfaithful - Matt. 13:22 • We are not to use the mammon of unrighteousness in this world to lay up treasures in heaven - Matt. 6:19-20; Lk 16:9 • We brought nothing into this world, nor shall we take anything out - 1 Tim. 6:7; Job 1:21
