  2. About the author • Born February 19, 1971. • Jeff Kinney was born in College Park, Maryland. • In 1998 he got the idea for Diary of a Wimpy Kid but didn’t finish the first book until April of 2007. • He became a writer because of his grandma. Jeff Kinney

  3. Setting • It takes place in present time. • There are a lot of places where it takes place: • town pool. • country club . • Greg’s house.

  4. Characters • Greg- is the main character in Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days. • Rowley- Greg's best friend until he and Greg has to pay back all this money they owe to the country club. • Mom- Greg’s mom. • Dad- Greg’s dad. • Rodrick- Greg’s older brother. • Manny- Greg’s younger brother.

  5. Plot • The book was about when Greg and Rowely have to pay back the country club. • Greg’s dad finds out his dad has been lying to him about his dog Lucky. • Greg finally gets a dog. • Greg gets to go to the beach and ride the cranium shaker.

  6. Conflict/Resolution • Greg vs. Rowley Greg and Rowley can’t figure out how to earn money but they also can’t agree how to earn the money. • Greg vs. world Greg faces problems with the world when every time he tries to be cool his mom or some one mess is it up. • Greg vs. mom Greg and his mom are fighting because she is always ruing every thing.

  7. Theme • Every day life troubles.

  8. Book Review I think the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days is a great book. I like how the book sounds like it is coming from a kid. I like how in the book you don’t know what will happen next. Overall I loved the book and I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
