  1. Karibu House CO-GENDER RAP SESSIONS for LGBTs of Color The 15th year of monthly dialogues bringing together LGBT’s of color in the Detroit metro area. Providing supportive safe space for intergenerational and cross-gender discussions on topics of interest and importance on FIRST WEDNESDAYS, 2012-2013.Below is the Fall/Winter schedule through March. A separate flyer for Spring coming soon. November 21: Elections Results Debrief/Chat December 19: Preparing for the Holidays (Emotionally, Etc.) January 16: What are Racial Micro-Aggressions? February 15: How are YOU Making Black History/Herstory? March 21: An LGBT Community Center in the City of Detroit? (allies welcome at this session) Affirmations Center, 6:00pm-8:00pm 290 W. Nine Mile, Ferndale 48220 Light refreshments served. Parking meters in rear. Bring a quarter and we will provide more if you need them!
