JIC (1) • Monthly meetings by teleconference • 20 April. 1 day informal working meeting to progress strategic initiatives • 21 April. ½ day formal JIC meeting • Fleshing out potential strategic actions • Progressing identified actions (all are also strategic) • IHE International now contributing
JIC (2) • Strategic actions being progressed • Update of JIC charter and bylaws • Confirmation and review of joint work program • Review & update of processes for managing joint work program • JIC communications, maintenance of the JIC website and publicly available documentation • LMIC program. Agreement on progressing ISO/TC215 Public Health Task Force topics with IMIA engagement • Meeting schedule and opportunities for global stakeholder engagement • Opportunities explored to support collaborative activities between US and EC and in Latin America
JIC (3) - Joint Projects • 10781 EHRS FM – Release 2 • Publication issues resolved • Will simultaneously ballot in HL7 and ISO • 18530 Automatic Identification and Data Capture: • 14199 BRIDG. Obstacles overcome - moving forward • 13972 Clinical Trials. Will be started once BRIDG is complete or in final stages. • 17537 EHR Clinical Research Functional Model. Project cancelled due to inadequate progress. • Detailed Clinical Models. Re-balloting • 13940 CONTSYS. Important as a potential foundation for concepts, terms & definitions
ISO/TC215 • Annual plenary meeting 21-26 April, 2013Mexico City • Finalisation of revised WG structure • Update of TC215 scope has been challenged – working through the issues with Medical Devices community • Strategic business plan is effectively complete (subject to scope resolution) – for ISO/TMB approval • Opportunities for greater involvement of Latin American countries • Important HL7 participates in ContSys & SKMT work • HL7 representatives actively involved in terminology binding and many other TC215 projects
