Yr 7/8 Programmes • Core Programmes: Literacy and Numeracy, Integrated context for learning, Art, Technology • Specialist Teachers: ICT, Music, Te Reo, P/E and Technology • Extension Activities: English, Maths, Art, ICT, Sports, Mandarin • Support Programmes:Literacy and Numeracy, ESOL • Teacher Aide programmes:COSMDBRIC Mathematics Small Group Reading and Writing

  4. Yr 7 Activity Week – Day One A day at the school engaging in lateral thinking and team building activities. Yr 7 Movie

  5. Yr 7 Activity Week – Day Two Gymnastic Activities and Indoor Rock Climbing.

  6. Yr 7 Activity Week – Day Three Hibiscus Coast Leisure Centre for Aqua-run and Sports Rotation. Year 7 Movie

  7. Yr 7 Activity Week – Day Four Walk up to the summit of Rangitoto Island Yr 7 Movie

  8. Yr 8 Camp • Activities included: Swimming, Team Building Challenges,Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Day Hike, Crate Climbing and Go Karting. • This year our Year 8 children went down to Totara Springs. Year 8 MovieSlide

  9. Opportunities Available in Yr 7/8 • Sports Competitions:Inter Zone Competitions in Rugby, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming, Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Touch, Tennis, Netball, Hockey. • Current Options Programmes:Basketball, Crafts, MVTV, Photography, Tennis, Scooter Storage creating, Cooking, SNAG Golf, Teddy Bear Making, Putting Green, Art. • Senior Choir , APPA and Orchestra: Auditioned and taught by Mrs Sinclair.

Included in these are: • Class Captains • Young Leaders: Continuing to grow students across Year 7 and 8 • MVTV Crew (at school and trips to conferences) • Assembly Crew • School Hosts for Visitors • Mediators • Road Patrollers • Office Duty • Librarians • Sick Bay Monitors • Wet Day Monitors
