Roswell Students by the numbers Did you know this about the Class of 2018? • 23% of the senior class was accepted to Georgia State • 80 students took 10 or more AP and/or Dual Enrollment classes over their high school career • Most popular out of state school- University of Alabama • 259 students (out of 471) graduated eligible for the HOPE scholarship • 36% of the senior class had an overall A average in December of 12th grade • $13,436,285 scholarship dollars were earned

How to check your HOPE GPA • Go to www.gafutures.org • Create an account (or log into your existing account) • Be sure to include your Social Security number in your profile • Go to My Gafutures tab • Select My HOPE GPA • HOPE and Zell Miller GPA includes grades from 9th- 12th grade • Middle School grades do not count in HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship • HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship use your unweighted grades (7 points removed) • Apply for HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship by completing the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov

College Applications and Financial Aid Tips and Tricks • No Class Rank • Over 38% of our students had an A average over the past 3 years • No 4.0 GPA for Fulton County • Don’t convert your GPA, your GPA is called the Numeric Average and it is weighted • Be sure to read college admissions blogs and twitter- great info! • Look at UGA, GA Tech, USC • Get to know your admissions representative! • No formula guarantees admissions anywhere! • Complete the FAFSA after October 1 • www.fafsa.ed.gov • Financial Aid packages can be very competitive from private college and universities- don’t be afraid to look! • Completing the FAFSA also completes the HOPE Application • Roswell maintains a scholarship bulletin online-check here often for national, college specific, and local scholarships (Tommy Burnett Memorial, Roswell Rotary, Senior Class, and more)
