  1. Spirit =Life It’s My Body, I’ll Do With It As I Please

  2. Fact: Our bodies are not our own! They belong to God and are merely on loan to us. 2 Cor. 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

  3. Let’s look at our origins Gen. 1:27 So God created man in His image, in the image of God created He him, male and female created He them. Gen. 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

  4. A. Now if you believe in God, then you have to acknowledge that God made you, and God will demand an answer from you as to how you used your body.

  5. B. NOTICE HOW UNIQUE HUMANS ARE: GOD MADE ADAM A LIVING SOUL. • Man only was made a living soul. No other creature holds that distinction. • But man became a dead soul before he left the Garden of Eden.

  6. Gen. 2:17 reads: But of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

  7. Paul: man’s condition=death Eph. 2:1 says: And you hath He (Jesus Christ) quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sin.

  8. C. There’s hope for anyone who believes:Listen to these scriptures

  9. Romans 8:10-11 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. ...if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, hethat raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

  10. God’s Spirit in a person’s soul might be somewhat likened to an unborn baby in a mother’s body. • A baby doesn’t move all the time, but when it does its’ mother is very conscious of its’ movements.

  11. a. If there’s no movement during a pregnancy, the fetus, and perhaps the mother also, could and probably would die.

  12. B. If you don’t feel God in your spirit, you are either still in your sin, not really born again, or you’re completely out of touch with God.

  13. C. Remember: needing something immediately is sometimes too late!

  14. 3. It is absolutely essential that a person have the Spirit of God within him or her.

  15. John 3:5 Jesus answered, and said unto him, verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.

  16. D. What if God were pregnant with us? • How else could we be born again, born of the Spirit, that is, if God were not pregnant with us? • Actually, every soul that ever lived, or will ever live dwell within God- God is everywhere.

  17. A. Can you begin to imagine God’s pain over the dead souls in him that refuse the life that he wants to give to whosoever will?

  18. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

  19. b. In this verse alone, it is easy to see the pain God feels for those that refuse the life that He wants to give to “whosoever will.” C. God wants all men everywhere, to be filled with His Spirit; to be filled with Him. D. The following verse spells out God’s guarantee to “whosoever will.”

  20. Butif the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Rom 8:11

  21. All scriptural truths are verified by 2 or more witnesses • Matthew 18:16 • 2 Corinthians 13:1

  22. Isaiah 28:10-12 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line uponline; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

  23. Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dreamdreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

  24. Acts 2:38-39 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in thename of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the giftof the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

  25. There you have it. It’s yours for the taking • Pilate’s question, “What will you do with Jesus, who is called Christ?” must still face us all. • What then will we DOwith Him? What indeed?
