【Caution for Safety】 • Engage turning gear to prevent the shaft from being turned by external influence. 2. Close the root valve of main air reservoir and shut off starting air supply. 3. Wear helmet, raincoat, safety shoes and overshoes, taking flashlight and testing hammer with strap. 4. Keep empty pockets of everything for the prevention of drop of any belongings. 5. Be careful not to fall off slippy surface in particular.
【Checking Points】01 • Checking shall be done from top to bottom in crankcase. 2. Check the bolts and nuts for crack or looseness by sounding with testing hammer. (except for the nuts tightened with hydraulic jack)
【Checking Points】02 3. Check the locking washer and locking wire fitted to bolt or nut. 4. Examine the working surface of piston rod, guide plate, guide shoe and telescopic tube for scratch or wearing down. 5. Examine the surface of crank arm for any signs of cracks, particularly in the higher-stressed region midway between crank pin and crank journal.
【Checking Points】03 6. Examine the fillets between crank journal and crank arm and between crank arm and crank pin for any signs of cracks. 7. Finally, examine the bottom of crank case and confirm that there is no metal pieces on it.
