Know The Pre-Check Requirements The easiest way to avoid scaffold-related accidents is by staying aware of all the safety requirements during installation, assembly and inspection of scaffolds. The well-defined standard set by the Health and Safety Executive should be followed. The focus should be on keeping away injuries and fatalities from construction sites. During Scaffold Erection It should be erected by a competent person and someone with prior experience in scaffold erection should supervise it. A licensed professional engineer should design the structure in such a way so that the safety limits suggested by the HSE are not exceeded. Integrity Of Scaffolds Construction workers should be aware of the load capacity of the scaffold and avoid overloading it with equipment and other materials. The planks used should be sturdy enough to bear the load placed on them. Braces, supports and uprights should be removed only when substituted with suitable replacements.
