The MediLedger Project, established in 2017, brought together some of the world's leading Pharmaceutical Manufactures and Wholesale Distributors to explore the potential of block chain technology in the track and trace of perception medicines. Its scope was to evaluate the feasibility of a block-chain based solution for creation of an interoperable system consistent with the drug supply chain Security Act(DSCSA) with the undersatanding that the conclusions can be extrapolated to other potential use cases. Based on business requirements and guidance from the working group, the MediLedger project developed a blockchain based system for tracking the legal change of ownership for percription medicines. In summury, The MeduLedger project has drawn these conclusions so far.
