My view of teaching I will: • demonstrate knowledge of the teaching and learning process; • demonstrate the capacity to arouse learner interest in the subject; • prepare and organise thoroughly for classes; • develop and communicate clearly student learning outcomes, course requirements and pathways to success; • challenge students to achieve learning outcomes and to develop critical thinking and problem solving abilities; • develop a rapport with learners; • use approaches to teaching and evaluation of learning that respect diverse student learning needs; • use assessment methods that are aligned with learning outcomes and instructional approaches; • encourage student participation in the learning process; and • demonstrate reflective teaching, for example by using feedback from students and others and by self-recognition of what I can do better
