The primary food source • The food chain show that plant are found in all food chain and always found in the beginning of the food chain because plants provide all living organisms with food and energy to live. • Plant are only living things that can produce food and energy from raw materials and energy. So plants are called producers and animals are called consumers. • Food for the plant is energy-rich substance called carbohydrates. When it is broken down, it release a lot of energy for plant to grow and survive.

  5. Changing raw materials into sugar -photosynthesis • Co2,chlorophyll,sunlight are needed for starch formation. The process is call photosynthesis .Water and the temperature is very important for the plant .After having all this they will give out oxygen into the air.

  6. The whole process of photosynthesis • Carbon dioxide + water Glucose + oxygen Light energy chlorophyll

  7. Crops and plants • Healthy growth of plants • Ornamental plants like roses and crops like sugarcane all require favourable conditions to be healthy .This conditions needs water, co2, ,suitable temperature ,sunlight ,chlorophyll
