FT-SPK Blends HRJ Blends Alternative Fuels Qualification Supporting the DoD Tri-Service POL Users Group’s efforts to qualify alternative fuels drives Army operational energy in the “Out Years”. • Army is qualifying military specification approved renewable and synthetic fuels, in 50/50 blends, with JP-8. • TARDEC completed ground platforms qualification for HRJ & FT-SPK in FY13. • TARDEC has initiated ATJ qualification for completion by end of FY15. • AMRDEC will complete aviation platforms certification for HRJ & FT-SPK by end of FY14. • AMRDEC will certify ATJ by end of FY15.
