EAC 0522 – INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT – DOING BUSINESS IN BRAZIL Rationale: this is an elective discipline. The course will teach students the basics regarding international management in a broad view stretching their thinking in terms of the challenges of business in a cross cultural scenario and Brazil
Class aims and description • The class will aim to develop with students the awareness about the most important characteristics of international management and Brazil as a multicultural country, its business rules, attraction of investments, major problems and advantages.

Evaluation • Individual Final paper (minimum of 5 pages) computer printed, single space. • Suggested approach for subject selection: comparing Brazil and another country, region in any of the aspects discussed in classes. • The paper must be in English and developed in two phases:
Evaluation • - Phase I - Preliminary Submission – One page • - Due date: To be confirmed • - Each student must bring it to class and submit by email (pesquisatecsi@usp.br) one page text containing: • - name • - title of the paper • - objective and justification • - preliminary list of references (books and articles) that will be used • Obs.: fail in this assignment will reduce final grade.
Evaluation • Phase II – Final paper • Due date: To be confirmed • Send the paper to pesquisatecsi@usp.br • Observation: Plagiarism will result in failing grade in the course
