  1. Project title: A comparative study on kids wear brands & To find out the key opportunity areas for Pantaloon kids wear brand in Mumbai. Prajjwal Dewaskar Prajjwalidea@gmail.com • Abstract:Kid’s wear has always caught the attention of the manufacturers as well as the designer as it requires greater emphasis for both aesthetic as well as functional features. The project here is thus focus on firstly, analyzing the range of categories and comparative analysis for kids wear brands, and secondly, acquiring the knowledge of the demands of the consumer (Parents/guardians) and then finding key opportunity areas for pantaloon kids wear. • Through the brand survey and category analysis the exact picture of the gaps or loop holes in the system is analyzed. The evolution of the sells and the stock data is focused only to obtain an overall picture of the success rate of the brands. The second part deals with the customer survey to get the feed back and to identify gap between customer expectation and actual customer experience. Findings: • UCB kids is the most favorite brand for people who having income of above 35000 per month. • For age group of 2-7 year kids Liliputand Gini & Jony are the most preferred brands. • For age group of 8-16 year kids UCB kids and Pantaloon kids are the most preferred brands. • For age group of 2-4 year kids color and price is the major problem facing areas while making purchase decisions. • For age group of 5-16 year kid’s size and fit is the major problem facing areas while making purchase decisions. • Though Fit is the most important factor but is also the most problem facing area in kids wear. • For income group of 15000 to 20000 per month people style is the most important attribute while making purchase decisions. • For income group of above 25000 per month people quality is the most important attribute while making purchase decisions. • People belongs to income group of 15000 to 25000 per month prefers to make purchase for occasions or festivals only. • For age group of 5-14 year boy’s videogame play station is the favorite leisure. • For age group of 5-14 year girl’s ice-cream parlor is the favorite leisure. • People who purchase branded clothes prefer to go to malls for shopping. • T-shirt and jeans is the most preffered product for girls and boys both and for every age group kids. • Promotion of Pantaloon kids wear is very less, many people are not aware about it.
