How does it affect our every day life if we consume too much sodium? • Eating too much sodium will make your kidneys produce more urine to get rid of it, and if there is too much in your body, your kidneys will not be able to get rid of the excess, and that will increase the volume of the blood vessels in your body putting pressure on them

  6. How does it affect weight lifting and exercise • Makes you gain weight, decreases stamina, and dehydrates you

  7. How much sodium is too much? • 2300 mg

  8. How much sodium is too less • Less than 1500

  9. How much sodium are we supposed to consume? • 1500-2300 mg

  10. How can sodium be good for you? • Salt aids blood sugar control by improving insulin sensitivity, it lowers adrenaline spikes, improves sleep quality, balances hormones, and makes food taste better

  11. Ways to cut back on sodium • Eat more fruit, vegetables, whole grain foods, fresh frozen cuts of meats

  12. How to keep track of your sodium intake • get into the habit of reading the nutritional information on food labels
