  1. Nocturne Requirements (Element14 discussion on UI) • Caregiver • 1. Essential - Mobile interface • 2. Essential - Some form of user interface • 3. Essential - User interface to input in-bed and out of bed times for the alert • 3.1 - Option - Ability to add lee way to the alert times • 3.2 - Option - The system can learn in-bed and out of bed times • 4. Essential - The system will send a meaningful message to that the client is not in, or out of bed • 4.1 - Option - The caregiver can asked to be notified of a positive event (that the client is in bed or that the client has got up in the morning). • 5. Essential - The server platform will hold the number of the person to be notified in the event of an alert • 5.1 - Option - To be able to specify more than person that an alert has occurred • 6. Essential - The Caregiver can send an acknowledgement to the system of receipt of the alert message and cancel an alert • 6.1 - Option - In the event that the first person on the list does not acknowledge an alert, the system will contact the next person on the list • 7. Essential - Ability to disable the alerting system • 8. Essential - There will be some form of status check to demonstrate end to end functioning of the system • Client end • Essential requirements • 1. The client will have one fixed location • 2. We are only tracking bed occupancy • 3. The system will have an uninterruptable power supply • 4. There will little or no maintenance or set up • 5. There will be some form of external communications link with the carer • 6. There will be some form of visual indication of correct operation of the system • 7. The reliability of the system will be at least as good as that of the communications link (in respect of sending an alert)
