SPECIFICATION • A series of statements where the project is explained in terms of the following headings: • Purpose • Function • Size • Appearance (Aesthetics) • Life expectancy • Environmental considerations, etc. • It will reflect the findings of the research and analysis. • The specification should be kept ‘open’ enough to allow a range of designs to be produced, while placing certain limitations.

  2. SPECIFICATION The purpose of my Point-of-Sale stand is to advertise a new release of “Jaws” on DVD, and to display an example of the disc in its packaging. It will be three-dimensional and will have a dramatic outline shape. The typography will have a spiky and gory effect. I will be using 1700 micron corrugated card for the majority of the construction, but I may use other materials such as styrofoam or polypropylene.
