Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of NASU - Kyiv UA : Ivan Franko Lviv State University Objectives In relation to the development of hydrogen power engineering, research on metal hydrides offer a cost-effective, safe and efficient basis alternative. Main objective is to develop new Mg-based composite materials and study correlation between composition, structure, hydrogen capacity and cyclic stability for the studied materials in order to formulate general rules of their relationships. Kurdyumov Institute for Metal Physics- Kyiv CNRS: Laboratory for Lasers, Plasmas and Photonic Processes, Marseille http://www.lp3.univ-mrs.fr/lp3-gb.htm Objectives The aim of the Project is to study formation of nanosize particles based on powerful pulsed heating of condensed matter by means of pulsed laser ablation (PLA) and electrical wire explosion (EWE). These two methods of nanoparticle synthesis have a unified physical nature lying in superheating of matter to a metastable state with subsequent explosive decomposition (phase explosion) into a mixture of vapor and nanoscale particles. Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology- Kyiv CNRS: Institut de Génomique Fonctionnelle, Universités de Montpellier http://www.igf.cnrs.fr/en.php Objectives The main objective of the proposal is to find evidence for either common or selective modification in T- and N-type VOCC function in central DH and DRG nociceptive neurones taking place in different pain models and associate them with neuronal network malfunction and certain behavioural abnormalities.
