  2. work samples • make up the major portion of the portfolio—the most powerful portion of your “sales pitch” • proof of your knowledge & skills: • classroom projects • materials you have generated while on the job • materials completed in community service projects or professional memberships

  3. work samples • customize your work samples to match the skills needed for the position—“wow” potential employer by showing examples that clearly demonstrates skills he/she want to see • ask yourself: • what will this work demonstrate? • is this my best work? • does it show mastery? • am I proud of this sample…all or part of it?
